The program aims to help remove barriers to education, employment, and training, and assist participants in finding successful jobs.

GOALS+ provides opportunities for youth to complete their education and prepare for career goals. Funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (Title 1B program), it includes one-on-one job coaching, career exploration, life skills training, and occupational skills training, alongside mentoring, financial support, and community networking.

Student Spotlight: Quintin

Meet Quintin: Quintin faced challenges with traditional and online schooling, struggling to stay motivated and complete his education. Determined to start working as soon as possible, he pursued his GED through PY+, after researching local programs.

At PY+, Quintin found the support he needed. "The staff was forgiving when I messed up and always worked with me. It was so easy," he said, appreciating their flexible approach.

With his GED and skills from PreTrades classes in roofing and solar, Quintin is now preparing for the Northwest Carpenter Union apprenticeship program.

"Life's a journey; if you're not trying to learn, what are you doing?" he reflects, enthusiastic about his future.

Quintin's story demonstrates how the right support can transform challenges into opportunities, paving the way for a promising career.

Student Spotlight: Aiydn

Aidyn is almost finished with his GED, almost off probation, he has now successfully completed a Work Experience, Summer Crew, Launchpad soft skills workshop, resume building, and is wanting to pursue wild land firefighting. When Aidan joined us he was grappling with the recent death of his mother, the Josephine COunty Jubenile Justice Department, multiple different living situations, and transitioning from Gladiola Alternative Center to our in-house GED program.

Aidyn has worked very closely with his coach Kylee the past 2 years. “I cannot express how much growth this youth has made. He has taken advnatage of every opportunity we have been able to give him and I could not be more proud of him” - Coach Kylee
